Channel version number maximum?

When it comes to channel versioning, what happens as you get closer to 2.0? Do the options in the Developer Dashboard automatically increase?

Right now we’ve got a pretty young channel, but we’re just concerned about what will happen as we increase it higher.

They automatically increase. You can’t go from version 1.1 to version 2.1 (for example), so once you pick 2.0 you’ll get the options to increase to 2.1, 2.2… etc.
