We would like to develop a channel with a custom drawn UI to allow for more complex interfaces for things like an Electronic Program Guide. I have been searching the forum, and the documentation. If you could provide me with some direction where to begin I would greatly appreciate it.
If you want to do a custom UI, look at the roImageCanvas component. It allows you to do almost anything, but it takes a bit of work.
