Who’s the data provider for a program’s “Ways to Watch”? Thanks.
That data is aggregated from the search feeds that the various channels send to Roku to surface their content in search and recommendations. See Roku Search feed (JSON) for more details.
@RokuBen For Tiger Cage, are Tubi, Fandango and Apple TV the “various channels” that you’re referring to?
yes, those are the partners that provide program data in a search feed. Since this is a developer forum, I assumed you were asking how you could supply data for your own Roku application.
Internally, we make a best effort to match data to a commercial data source, as different providers may have slightly different metadata. For example, I just directly searched on Tubi and found Watch Tiger Cage III (1991) - Free Movies | Tubi but not the original Tiger Cage, so this might be a mismatch.
