Hi ,
Need your help. I want to watch my regional channels in ROKU. But the website owner wasn’t interested in providing on ROKU.
the website name is www.telugulive.com I can give the USER ID and password. If someone can PM me, I can give the user ID and password once you PM ME.
Can you built a simple ROKU application for me with no hi-fi. All I need is I want to login and access the channels on the website using ROKU.
Or can you tell me how to create a ROKU application? If you build, it make hour or more, If I build, 3 or 4 months. But I am really interested to learn.
Thanks
King
Hi,
as I see from http://www.telugulive.com/, it broadcasts using mms stream. Roku supports only HLS (HTTP Live Streaming). So, you can’t build a channel for Roku, which plays the content from http://www.telugulive.com/.

Dmitry, what can you say about bestrussiantv.com? Will Roku be able to play their streams?

How do you know that it uses MMS but not HLS?

I am looking help for same website. Though it is only VCD compared to Reliableiptv DVD quality, it is cheap and 25 channels with cricket and 100+ movies.
Will have to check playon/xbmc options

It’s because of the following system requirement:
Player: Windows Mediaplayer 11
Windows Mediaplayer doesn’t play HLS. The only stream option on it is mms.
