I’ve been doing the homehomehomeupupleftrightleftrightleft sequence on my remote, it just brings up “Channel information” Lists every channel installed and thier version number.
I never get any prompt to enable roku developer mode like I did on roku 3?
What am I doing wrong or is the roku tv not able to do developer mode?
Also on my roku 3 I have no idea what I set the developer password to. How can I reset it?
If you don’t want to factory reset the device, you can also de-activate developer mode and then re-activate it again. In doing so, you’ll be asked to provide a new password.
Thats a much better solution then factory resetting and then having to reuthorize all my channels and passwords etc etc etc… LOL..
A good feature Roku cold add is to duplicate everything to a new roku when added to your account like Android does with cell phones… Makes it painless to upgrade to new devices..
Anyay will try that today! I dont know why I didnt think on that..
Enter the following control sequence from your roku device remote : Home 3x, Up 2x, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right.
After successfully entering the control sequence keys, you will be taken to the the Developer Settings page, where you can enable and disable developer mode on the box.
I am not able to open it he developer settings using the given sequence now. I used it in the past and worked but not working for me since 2 days. Also not able yo open my tv ip address on my laptop.
Let that be a lesson to you. The only reason any seller would ask you to use developer mode is because they are violating Roku’s Terms of Service. Tell the seller you want your money back.
Be nice to customers when ask that he didnot have experience on that sh… we are not in school to say its lesson . Realy no more ruko product and negative feed back …
