Direct publisher channel shows only Search and About icons

I’ve seen a few posts about similar issues, but not one with a solution:

I’ve published a direct publisher channel, once I add it to my device and it loads, I immediately see a screen with 2 icons: Search and About. No content is playing.

Any idea?
