Let me start by saying I am a bright script noob. So forgive my ignorance. Hence the question. I have been searching online for any kind of Wywsiwyg layout and functionality tool. Something like Illustrator or Page maker but for Channel development.
In a perfect world you could channel design, layout, build the channels and assign all required functions to buttons, remote etc from pre built code libraries. Does anything like this exist?

That is probably where you want to start. That is as close to what you want as it gets. Both XML and BRS so you can see how to build properly and reuse the components. That should get you started.
