Hello!!

I just enrolled into the developer program, I followed the instructions from the Eclipse Plugin Guide (link below) to enable BrightScript development on Eclipse, however I was never able to “Export” any of the example projects because at the time I try, it simply does not continue, it displays an error like this:

I have installed from scratch (twice) as before I did not have eclipse installed and after I remove everything (even .p2, or .eclipse, or cache, everything…), then installed again, but the problem persisted. I tried installing manually DLTK 2.0, but still nothing worked, I would have an issue with Jface like this:

Is there something else I am missing??

yeah… that’s why I gave up on Eclipse. But maybe it’s worth it for you and hopefully you get it sorted! :sunglasses:

Do you know another way to develop for Roku?? using another IDE or command line tools??

Bump - same issue for me - I’ve rolled back based on a backup for now - The support for the plugin has been patchy at best :disappointed_face:

Installed fresh Eclipse and latest Brightscript plugin according to instruction https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc … ugin+Guide. Created HelloWorld app and now trying to export project as BrightScript deployment and can’t do this, only get “Unhandled event loop exception”

Tried on OS X, Windows and Ubuntu.

How to fix this?
Is this plugin supported and expected to be working at all?

Are you sure the Java SDK is installed? I had a similar error caused by that problem.
