I’ve been able to create a Crestron module using the external control guide but I have a couple of obstacles to overcome regarding keyboard input. I haven’t found a way to move the cursor left and right. Are these commands just not available?

There’s no method for that, it only supports inserting characters and Backspace to delete.

Yes, the search field. I’m a little surprised at that, but maybe a future release will add some functionality.
