Are there any plans to introduce fast forwarding for the audio player? Or are there any undocumented methods to fast forward?
You can seek in a WMA file (although I’ve never tried it), but not an MP3. I haven’t heard of any plans to change that.

That topic referenced above is the best information on the subject.
On the 4.x platform it may be possible to seek if you use roVideoPlayer or roVideoScreen instead of roAudioPlayer but seeking isn’t accurate. If I recall, you would use setpositionNotification as part of getting this working.
This doesn’t work on the 3.x platform.
