HELP - How streaming using internet to many Roku HD?

Hi there,

sorry if my post is a duplicate of other similar question.

For a my customer i need to streaming 3, or more, different videos, using DLS because the location are in various cities.

Each location have 3-4 TV,dls and will have 1 Roku HD for each streaming channel.

The questions are:

  • Which server i need in remote farm?
  • Which OS i need for the server? (Windows? Mac? Linux?)
  • Which streaming software on the server? Just a file sharing can be enough?
  • Where running the SDK sample sw’s coding?
  • If i wish streaming realtime videos at the same time for all Roku HD what i’ll need?

Any help is appreciate.

    Can’t help much,but my quad core can support my single Roku fairly well :).

  • Which OS i need for the server? (Windows? Mac? Linux?)
    I am using Linux, bu it does not matter as long it runs a webserver.

  • Which streaming software on the server? Just a file sharing can be enough?
    Need a webserver. I am running Apache.

  • Where running the SDK sample sw’s coding?

  • If i wish streaming realtime videos at the same time for all Roku HD what i’ll need?
