Help with SDK/examples/zips

HELP with Roku SDK file examples zip file name (simplevideoplayer)
when I unzip the file and put it a folder. Then zip it up it will not show up on the roku. But if I just install it from the SDK/examples/zips it shows up on the roku. What can I do to fix this?

when creating your zip after modifying something you need to select the things inside your folder - so the source folder, images folder, manifest etc. , and zip them - not the enclosing folder.
