Hey there! It’s been a long time since Roku introduced Direct Publisher and made vague promises about SVOD as a monetizing option being made available “soon”. Well, when is “soon” going to happen? While Roku itself may prefer an ad supported model there are still audiences and channel creators who prefer an ad-free SVOD model. Is there any news, or other thoughts, to share about this?

I wish I knew. I have subscription channels to convert. Starting researching scenegraph in case SVOD for DP never happens.

Unfortunately, there are no plans at the moment to enable SVOD for Direct Publisher. If you are looking to add SVOD, your best bet is to create a SDK channel. Please see our list of Roku Development Partners[/url:1zc0j5vm], if you are interested.
