launch a file from USB via an HTTP command

Is it possible to launch the Roku Media Player app and have it also launch a file directly from the USB stick with an POST command?
Something like this -
POST /launch/2213?url=ext1:/Video/big_buck_bunny.mp4 HTTP/1.1\n\n
