I want to know if its possible to create a channel using a Url. I have a movie site that I want to create the channel for. Any information would help.
That’s fairly vague, and not in an acceptable because I’m trying to protect my idea kind of way, more a nobody will know what I’m asking and I’ll never get a reply kind of way.
Any streaming channel will use a URL, so, the answer would be ‘yes’ - not sure how helpful that is to you though.

With subscription you can watch new release movies. I am wanting to make a private channel for my roku box for personal use with my account. Is it the RSS feed url that I use to stream it to my channel?

I actually was trying to be helpful. I was trying to let you know that if you are more specific, you’ll get more answers. I, like may people, am hesitant to put a lot of effort into an explanation that may be entirely missing the point because I couldn’t understand the problem, and I’m also hesitant to take time to explain all the different possible answers to ways I could interpret that question.

I edited the xml text using notepad ++ The site has tons of movies I’m referring to several new released movies that netflix, hulu plus or any other channel still doesn’t offer and wont for awhile. I’m wanting to create a private channel for it for my use and I don’t want to post a link to a site I want to make my channel for. That’s why my first post was so vague. I’m wanting to stream it to my roku box. I dont want to have to download it then play it from playon or something like that.
I was being humorous also. I’m sure you don’t know me and I don’t know you so whose expense is it at? Your reply was kind of being sarcastic mine was humorous took you awhile to come reply back to it.

Sounds like the vagueness has more to do with the channel being for a pirated movie site. If you’re editing an XML then I’m guessing you already downloaded the SDK, if not get that, it has everything you need to start exploring channel possibilities.
