I and some other users have noticed that there are some video podcasts that exhibit regular audio dropouts and “chipmunk” voices when played on the Roku, but not when played on other devices/players. For instance, all of the G4 podcasts exhibit this behavior.

Here’s an example of one that has both frequent audio drops and chipmunk voice: [http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp4 … nt\_pod.mp4](http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp4/podcast.g4tv.com/videoDB/046/230/video46230/ws214_parkant_pod.mp4)

And a couple others that exhibit one or both of these. I can provide more examples, if necessary.

A resolution to this would be most welcome.. 😉

I have noticed this also recently in video podcasts from the NY Times: Pouge and “The Minimalist.” Both in a home-grown app that I am working on and on the iTunes Podcast Channel. Both stutter and the audio is higher in pitch than it should be.

We’ve taken a look at these links, and have fixed the issue in an internal build. We’ll include the fix in an upcoming release.

Thanks,

Would you happen to know if your fixes for this issue also resolve mine?

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, that video is also playing correctly with this fix.
