Roku app sideloading stopped working from 26 April 2025

It was working fine till Friday and stopped all of a sudden

  1. When I can ping the local Roku IP in browser getting 500(Internal server error)
  2. Dev Installer enabled, so I disabled and re-enabled it.
  3. I reset the Roku password and roku device itself

Note: It is not specific to any ROKU device

Any estimates about when it can be resolved because that is a complete blocker

Is your device enrolled in the developer beta? If so, check with the beta coordinator – this is a known issue and will be resolved soon.

Roku software update fixed it
