Is it possible to send text to a Roku which gets always displayed on the screen?
I’m not talking about developing this feature in an app. I want to have a text popup with the phone number of incoming calls on the screen nevertheless which app is running.
I only found the External Control Guide which does not provide that information.

You can launch a channel (that you wrote) with the caller-ID as a parameter to display - but after that it won’t be able to return back to what it was doing before. There is no facility for “nesting” channel invocations
