Hello!
I have several mp4 urls which doesn’t work on Roku:
512Kbit: http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-512k.mp4
The same 256 Kbit: http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-256k.mp4
The same 120 Kbit/s: http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-120k.mp4
Why it doesn’t work?? It only writes the next error:
-3: An unexpected problem (but not server timeout or HTTP error) has been detected.
On local players it good works on mplayer and has some problems in VLC (with 512 and 256 Kbit/s).
Also I has some old bug report code which already half year works and restarts roku:
a = CreateObject("roList")
a.Push("1")
a.Delete(0)
inv = a[1] 'ROKU RESTARTS HERE
could you post more of your code? Either the video is not the right format (it looks to be though) or your attributes aren’t describing the video to Roku correctly I think

My code is correct. I have many urls which works with the same code. But this doesn’t work. You can just try to change url in e.g. “simplevideoplayer” example from SDK to see that this link doesn’t work.
For example the next urls works fine with the same code and it has the same format:
http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-512k.mp4
http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-256k.mp4
http://cdn1.cache.twofourdigital.net/u/ … n-120k.mp4
I can’t get these to play properly in VLC, either. The 512k and 256k videos play for a second then stop, and the 120k stream plays, but without audio. If VLC can’t play them, that would suggest that it’s definitely a problem with the video, and not the Roku or your code.
But it excellent work with mplayer and with flash-player on http://europarltv.eu.
