Will there be an updated SDK when the Roku 2 is released? Will it include support for the bluetooth controller?
If so, when can we expect the updated SDK?
There will eventually be an SDK that allows developers to take advantage of the Roku2 featureset, however, I don’t have an ETA at this point. For the types of channels that exist today on the Roku players in the field (ie non-Angry Birds level of games), there is no difference in the developer process or environment. That said, if you’re looking to do something, like a game, that would require the Roku 2 functionality, please contact partners@roku.com.
