We have submitted a public channel app for approval on 21 Nov 2019 and the app is still under Publishing status. How long does it take to approve the channel ? We haven’t heard any response from the Roku team on this

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news, but it’s likely attributable to their year end blackout dates. Not sure if it’s a result of reduced staffing during the holidays, or they do certain platform changes & take down the new channel & updating features during it.

Specifically the "In advance of these dates, Roku will certify and publish as many channels in the publishing queue as possible. However, there is typically a high volume of channel submissions before major holidays; therefore, the certification response times may take longer than usual. " part.
I would predict about January 5th-12th-ish.
