The Roku developer repositories, including the developer documentation, sample apps, and tooling, are now on GitLab at rokudev · GitLab. Repository names are unchanged, so a repository that was at Roku Developers · GitHub is now at rokudev · GitLab.
What you need to do
- Update any bookmarks or stored Roku repository URLs.
- Update your local clones:
git remote set-url origin https://gitlab.com/rokudev/<repo>.git - Update submodules (edit
.gitmodules, then rungit submodule sync), CI pipelines, and anything else that clones a repository, fetches a release artifact, or installs a package from a git URL. - If you index our repositories for a knowledge base, assistant, or coding agent, update the source URLs and re-crawl. Raw file URLs have moved too.
Links in the developer documentation and blog posts already point to the new GitLab URLs.
Suggesting documentation fixes
You can still suggest fixes to the developer docs. Request access to the docs repository at rokudev / dev-doc · GitLab, fork it, and submit a merge request with your change. The “Suggest edits” feature is not supported on GitLab.
