Would really appreciate the ability on Roku TVs to manually set the aspect ratio and/or zoom level of an input, it’s a feature still deemed worthy on both the highest and lowest end modern TVs with other operating systems and is conspicuous by its absence.
As every TV I’ve seen with Roku OS here in the UK still provides composite video inputs, I feel that at the very least being able to force 4:3 is a must, but also the missing aspect/zoom levels which one would normally find on other TVs make non-anamorphic DVDs and other older formats such as Laserdisc unusable with Roku TVs.

Note: Roku TVs do have some aspect ratio control settings. When on a TV input, hit the star button on the remote, then choose Picture settings / Customize picture / Picture size and you can choose between Auto, Direct (1:1 pixels), Normal, Stretch, and Zoom. A composite signal should default to 4:3 with the Normal setting, and be able to stretched to 16:9 with Stretch. The only common mode that Roku TVs lack is one that lets a 16:9 signal be shrunk back to 4:3.
If these settings aren’t working, you might have a composite output that includes Widescreen Signaling, informing the display what size to use. You may be able to turn that on and off in the settings for the source.
